Re: Is the Revolver Tour EC's greatest tour ever?

Definitely not my favorite tour. I would save that for the '86 extravaganza with The Confederates and other working configurations. The novelty of this type of show was new, the jokes fresher, the band crackerjack and he was coming off a most brilliant artistic triumph as he reconfigured himself in...

Re: What if . . .

Just to chime in here (not that anyone asked)...but I think this is a perennial desire of the hard-core fan of any long-running artist, and it's especially felt in an age where every live show can be easily and immediately accessed and parsed by the devotees. I frequent a couple of other music-them...

Re: What if . . .

I very much like your idea and suggest why stop there. There easily could be a tour of just covers or a show that truly takes a random turn like a previous suggestion from Wardo that audience members be allowed to literally airmail song suggestions onto the stage ala Ben Fold. Hell, you could under...

That's not my take on it. I enjoyed the recent Beacon shows. Maybe you'ld prefer to hear Pump It Up again, but if I never heard it live again it would be just fine. It's a GREAT song but he has thousands of great songs.

What if . . .

I've seen Elvis roughly 50 times since Imperial Bedroom (82'). It's not a pissing contest. I've met people who've seen him hundreds, if not, thousands of times. I understand Elvis is almost obligated to play certain songs (Alison, Detectives, Pump It Up . . .) for those casual fans who go JUST to he...

Re: Paddy is Alive and Well!!

I told Paddy after the May 23rd Beacon show that I liked his dancing during 'Strict Time' and he replied, "That's show business!"

Re: Elvis cancels shows in Israel , June/July '10

The state of Israel has lost all of its (moral) rights to exist in it's current form. Perhaps they should return all of their stolen land to the Palestinians and and be made to live in camps. They do not have any respect for international law or common decency. The state of israel is but a disgustin...

Re: Elvis cancels shows in Israel , June/July '10

Elvis is smarter and infinitely more socially-aware than most people can ever hope to be. The entire world knows what's going on in South Afri, excuse me, Israel. Anyone with a conscience and half a brain knows how disgusting and deceitful the Israelis have behaved over the past 50 years. Any sugges...

Elvis & the Sugarcanes @ Chautauqua (pair, GA, face value)

Regrettably I'm unable to make the show. I'd like them to go to another fan. ($40 each.)
