There Won’t Be Anymore ❤️❤️❤️ This seems like a pretty big surprise! 4th time ever and only second since 81- very cool he pulled this one out. I didn't realize this was such a rarity when I wrote my brief account. Thought it was played earlier on this tour. Makes seeing it that much sweeter. Totall...

Re: Elvis following Dylan tour

Several reports over at expectingrain.com talk about how genial and gracious Elvis and Diana have been to various members of the audience who have approached them at the Dylan shows. Someone said they were seated in the same row as Patti Smith and her band last night, and that they were pretty sure ...

Re: Elvis & The Imposters with Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets, MGM Music Hall at Fenway, Boston, MA, July 6, 2023

Fascinating to see such differing reactions. I was about 12 or 13 rows back in the center and I didn't see anyone leaving until it was about 11:00 and some of the older members of the audience started to trickle out but that seemed more due to the relative lateness of the hour than grumpiness about ...

Re: Elvis & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton, The Music Hall, Portsmouth, NH, March 6, 2023

I added some info about set times (on a 8:15, done at 10:40) and the various included songs, ABBA riffs, etc. to setlist.fm as well for the sake of completeness. Great show! Very talkative EC, I think he might have done 5 rounds of band intros. Def still riding the high of those Gramercy shows. I de...

Re: ELVIS solo GRAMERCY NYC February 14, 2023

I was at the show last night (2/14) and have seen Elvis countless times since my first, in 1978. There is no artist I've seen so consistently through his or her entire career. It had been a couple of years since I saw one of his shows, at Brooklyn Steel with the Impostors. That night he sang with a...

Really hope people on this message board can take advantage of that offer from rockcat's friend. So sorry you can't make the shows! I thought this might be the most suitable thread to pose this question, since it concerns all 10 nights. The original press release says EC won't repeat any song from t...

Re: EC & Imposters February/March 2023 "11 concerts up and down the East Coast"

Got one for the Portsmouth, NH show. Easy process through their website as opposed to TM. Lots of warnings when selecting seats about various obstructions- I've been to this venue before, and while it's been a few years, I don't recall any huge issues with visibility. Looks like the Beverly, MA show...

Re: EC & Imposters February/March 2023 "11 concerts up and down the East Coast"

Looks like no code is necessary for the presale, though the available inventory is on the pricier side, particularly for those of us making the trek to the Gramercy.

Re: 10 NIGHTS AT THE GRAMERCY NYC FEB 2023

Scored one for Friday the 10th via the EC presale with no issues at all- which has almost never been the case for me when going through LN or Ticketmaster (I see Live Nation has a few outrageously priced official platinum seats for the taking). So excited!!! Hope everyone on here who is planning to ...

Re: 10 NIGHTS AT THE GRAMERCY NYC FEB 2023

I'm starting to see bits of info that suggest the base price for these shows will be $130-200- does that seem accurate? Any thoughts as to whether weekend nights will be more expensive? Both learned opinion and wild speculation welcome!

Well, MOJO, my new friend- I'm hardly a VIP, neither captain of industry nor even my own chair. That's so odd- it's like the reviewer from the Globe went to the exact same show I did! Don't get me wrong, MOJO, and I think I accurately conveyed my love and respect for the man and his music despite the lateness of the hour I chose to type my little review. Just in case, I'll declare here- I will...

Re: Elvis & The Imposters, Boston, MA, Leader Bank Pavilion , August 15th, 2022

Tonight felt like we got a few more songs than the earlier shows on the tour. Sorry I don't have a setlist- I'm usually pretty good about keeping one, but I typically don't worry about keeping notes at an Elvis show as I know someone will and I can allow myself to be a bit lazy and take in the music...

Starting To Come to Me Interpretation

A buddy of mine recently asked me what I thought this song was about. My short answer was that I considered it a fairly typical late period EC song relying on acting/theatre metaphors to call out the target of the song for being a general phony. The narrator is beginning to realize that his general ...
