Goody2Shoes,
Thank you so much.
Up to this point Chemistry Class ended up last seven times, and I alraedy started thinking there was something wrong with me liking it quite a lot.

Surfing the net I have just found a downloadable live performance of The Band's "Stage Fright" sung by no other than our Elvis.
Any idea where and when he performed the song ?
Jesus, I don't know what to think about it. I haven't heard anything from the April Oxford/Memphis shows but references to southern blues, "gospell-rooted grooves" and country music at the same time are making me a bit reserved. My point is, and I am probably offending some people on this ...
I think Evan has his ups and downs but occasionally is a very good songwriter indeed.
I am not completely familiar with his whole catalogue, but It's A Shame About Ray and Come On Feel The Lemonheads are both excellent records.
Are his recent solo outings any good ?

How about Kevin Spacey and Gary Oldman ?
Spacey was brilliant in "American Beauty" and almost every other movie I saw him in.
Gary Oldman might have lost the plot a bit recently but in 80's and early 90's he was top class.
verbal gymnastics wrote : [/quote]Did you ever hear the God's Comic version when Elvis used to do songs that Elvis Presley would sing if he were alive today? They would include (among others) Rio by Duran Duran and Heart of Glass by Blondie. EC would then sing a snippet from the song in his Elvis P...
CopFan, there are at least 4-5 places which are a ‘must’. It really depends on what you are looking for. Otis mentioned Gdansk and he’s absolutely right. It’s a beautiful city with great architecture (especially the Old Town), nice atmosphere and good restaurants. Next to Gdansk you can find Sopot, ...
You're right, Otis.
This Is The Sea wasn't recorded in Ireland, but as this is my first question on Music Trivia I thought I could forgive John this "minor" mistake.
1989 was the solo performance at the Royal Albert Hall, supported by Nick Lowe. He played the venue three days in a row so the following day I went there before the show and had a picture taken with him !!! In 1994 I went to London with my wife and this time Elvis played with the Attractions at the ...
Good to be on the board, Otis. My town is in central Poland, ca. 250km west of Warsaw. To say that Elvis is not a household name in Poland would be a huge understatement. I would say that probably 99% of people would not have the slightest idea of who he is or name at least one song of his. (though ...
Yes, Checkpoint Charlie was the crossing point between West and East Berlin. Strangely enough I always thought that the "murder mile" Elvis sings about was the strip of no man's land between the two parts of the city where the communist regime used to shoot people trying to escape to West ...
Sorry for being a bit self-centred here, but coming from an ex-Soviet bloc country (thank God for 'ex' ), I was just wondering whether there are any references in Elvis' lyrics to Eastern Europe or if he had any close encounters with this part of the world. Lyricwise, one thing that comes to my mind...
