The existence of a "Taking Liberties Vol. 1 & 2" would suggest that the albums are indeed the original tracks without bonuses, many of which were on TL. A couple of questions though -- do we assume Vol. 2 will mirror "Out Of Our Idiot"? And if they're coming out in Europe, wh...

And just think -- it only took Neil 18 years to make good on his Archives, so maybe we'll see Elvis's version by 2025!

From billboard.com: Costello Revisits Back Catalog With Reissues April 17, 2007, 10:20 AM ET Gary Graff, Detroit This year's model of Elvis Costello is shaping up to be one that sounds very familiar to his fans. With the 30th anniversary of his first album, 1977's "My Aim Is True," looming...

I'm probably the only person in the world that really liked Elvis' "Mighty Like a Rose" beard and long hair. Nope -- because all this time I thought that person was me. Personally I think a good new look would be, I don't know, if he dropped a few pounds. What's his cholesterol looking li...

Amazon jumps the gun on track listings at times; most likely they're feeding in the information from those, since they're the most recent single-disc versions in their database. That's not to say that these won't be identical to the Ryko versions, but I think it's too soon to tell. (I'll wait until ...

I suppose "having" to buy the R&RM collection for two songs isn't as bad as "having" to buy 11 albums for the fourth time (on CD anyway), so I'm trying to look at the bright side. I would be very surprised if EC did new notes for the albums, particularly if there are no bonus...

And No Coffee Table wrote:I suspect Rock And Roll Music will be followed by Pop Music and Ballads and maybe a fourth title (any suggestions?), and eventually they'll all be packaged together as a box set.
I can see Covers being part of such a set. Rarities would be nice too. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

And why is "Lovers Walk" on that album? Do you question its rock & roll credentials or do you just not like the song? It's not my favorite song, but I could probably find something else that, I don't know, rocks more than that one. And thanks for the confirmation on the photo! RIP Rob...

Thanks for the info, ANCT!

Re: Elvis Rocks The US May 2007

One hopes he gets to try out a bunch of new tunes and quickly put them out on a new album. After signing off on the abbreviated version of the Hansel Gretel thing, maybe he has realised that he should get back to his knitting and do something he's really good at. Maybe he'll even bring it all back ...

The second installment of Neil Young's Archives , Live At Massey Hall 1971 comes out on Tuesday...On a personal note, I'm very excited because Red and I won tickets to a release party at the actual Massey Hall where they will screen the DVD portion of the release.
