I listened to the VH1 stream last week and had the CD on in the background at the office today. My initial feeling was that it's pleasant, but not something I'll love. However, having now watched the DVD, I'm convinced I need to pay closer attention, and probably with the headphones on. The DVD real...

I'm always looking for an excuse to use "baffling". If only because there aren't as many opportunities for "donnybrook".

OK, since I'm a moron, somebody please clear my confusion. This was a concert for VH-1 Classic? Which means those of us with only VH-1 will not get to see it?

OK. That was pretty cool. Any chance we'll get to hear the finished product? I remember vividly finding out about Jeff Buckley. All week long the news reports were filled with stories about Bob Dylan's heart scare. Then Jeff was reported missing, and a week later the worst was confirmed. Losing Bob ...

Re: Demon releases backcatalogue again

(from listserv) Demon is going to release his early albums again in a "remastered" single-disc version for £ 6,99. It looks like there won't be any new tracks available; tracklisting is the same as the reissues from the nineties. That's very odd, if it's indeed the case. According to the...

Has anybody had a chance to stream the album? I had it on in the background at work most of Friday, and am doing the same today. It's a good album, but not necessarily great; I'm mostly impressed that he was able to put something together this "together" so fast. There are a few songs tha...

The jacket of my wife's vinyl says side one starts with "ICSUFFD". The first song on side one (per the label) is "Love For Tender". The first song on the outside of the cassette I bought in 1986 is "ICSUFFD". The first song on "side one" on the actual cassette...

While I'm past my 20s, haven't smoked since then, and would only watch Buffy with the sound down, but yes, we are an Adult Swim household. Off the top of my head I think I laughed hardest at the carpool sketch.

We're also big on the Venture Bros.

I had planned on posting this, but I should have known Mr. Foyle would have been on top of it. Still, this is my favorite line:

Thanks. Good link. They (the Rykos) are hardly worth bothering about then it seems. Well, they were pretty important at the time. A few of them have been rendered obselete, but I still have fond memories of the days I first heard "Cheap Reward", "Sad About Girls", "Running ...

This wonderful site will tell you the basics about which tracks sound different between the two series; beyond those tracks, if you've got the Rhinos, you don't need the Rykos. At least that's my opinion, and I've got all of both.

Actually King, Chad Cromwell and Rick Rosas are both on Prairie Wind. But if the advance notes on this album are correct, it's a-gonna be a loud one.
