Re: Blood and Chocolate Survivor - Round 5
Nobody sadder than me to see such a classic discarded so early. Even knowing the mix of tastes on this board I would have expected it to be at least in the last 4 with Uncomplicated, I Hope You're Happy Now and I Want You.

It's a tough question, but the correct answer is
Love For Tender
Secondary Modern
New Amsterdam
Riot Act

Uncomplicated
I Hope You’re Happy Now
Tokyo Storm Warning
TO BE PLAYED AT MAXIMUM VOLUME, to quote another album which is strong in trifectas.
Not only is this my favorite triple from EC, it's one of my favorites from any album I own.

Of course you've all missed out on the reason some why crucial tracks were omitted, they're being saved for "In Motion Pictures II - The Sequel". Universal had better hurry up though because methinks Watercamp will get there first.

Re: Revolver Tour Setlists on ElvisCostello.com
I should add that I was at the NY April Fool's Day and the Beacon shows, and special highlights for me were the reworked National Ransom and the selections from Momofuku because they still sound new to me. Of course I also loved the reworkings of Everyday I Write The Book, Pump It Up (in 6/8) and Lu...

Re: Revolver Tour Setlists on ElvisCostello.com
There's two viewpoints here
1. It's a great setlist with some real gems (as ba points out)
2. There's only one song from the last 20 years, two from the last 25 years
As good as the setlist is, the distribution curve is leaning too much to the 70's and 80's to suit the tastes of all fans.

Re: Elvis/Imposters Beacon Theatre New York, NY May 22, 2011
The highlight for me was when Elvis sang Josephine and Jimmie Standing In The Rain solo, then went to the piano and started to play a solo blues style version of Pump It Up. I kid you not. The band came back on stage to join him, with Elvis and Steve playing keyboards together for the whole of Pump ...

JUST GOT A TICKET!!!! Chose the will call option, looks like they've released some more. Obviously, holding back tickets allowed the scalper rates to soar.

Re: UK Tour June 1983
I was at the Loughborough June 83 show, I was a student there at the time. I had a ticket stub and Lufbra "Ents" poster but they got lost in one on my many house moves, along with a comprehensive collection of 80's tickets stubs and concert posters. The first part of the show pretty much m...

He could really go to town on Clash Songs
Dictator
North and South
ROK the Casbah
I'm so bored with the DMZ
and that old singalong:
The Guns of YongPyeong (though strictly speaking this as the island on the receiving end, alas I don't know from whence the shelling originated)

Elvises everywhere! What would be the collective noun for a group of Elvises? A sneer? Maybe ten years ago. How about a wink. A Reissue. With the way he dresses of late, I think "An Ostentation of Elvises" would also be quite appropriate. What's the collective noun for Collective Nouns? W...

Hi Doc, I made a couple of posts between 22.35 and 22.48 EST, each time the screen took about 2 minutes to refresh. I'm on latest versions of Mac OS and Firefox, give or take a week.

Even "A Singing Dictionary" lists the songs with LFT first and RA last, it's amazing how many sources seem to be in on the joke.

Otis, I'm in your camp if that helps. Riot Act was always the end to Side 1, it would be far too cliched to end side 2 with this song.
