not really, it´s EC&A with guest vocalists. But I get your point.

Re: The Complete Armed Forces (Super Deluxe Edition)

I'm just popping in to take a victory lap for figuring out a couple of years ago that the Tucson cab driver story actually recounted the origins of "Busy Bodies", not "Accidents Will Happen". :D Receipts here: http://www.elviscostellofans.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10747...

Re: The Complete Armed Forces (Super Deluxe Edition)

Interesting. But why was he not telling the truth about the Mexico story? I don't get that. I love 'Accidents' - it's got to be a top-tenner, I think. I quote the article: "The song wasn’t inspired by a romantic encounter with a female cab driver in Tucson, Ariz., as I wrote in my 2015 memoir....

I found my old homeburned CD with these song introductions from WIWC recently. Does anyone here have a clue of the origin?

Re: The Complete Armed Forces (Super Deluxe Edition)

Back to topic: I just listened to the three tracks that are available on spotify, and ...wow! We get tracks by EC and the Attractions wherer they are on fire. This is exactly why I got stuck with EC in the first place. That moment I heard El Mocambo the first time and I was stuck for real. What we a...

Re: New album Hey Clockface will be released October 30, 2020

My big problem now is...I just changed my car. When I asked 'does this one have a CD player?' the mid-twenties sales person looked at me slightly aghast and said (words to the effect of) 'I'm sorry sir...a 'C-what' player? Do you not possess a mobile phone?' So now I can't even play CDs in the car....

No no no never the 1991 lineup- leaden, plodding and unsubtle- possibly the worst show I ever saw was in 1991 !!

The Rhino bonus disc is full of songs from Hollywood High, so this doesn´t really work. Definately a good proposal as a starter!

Re: Armed Forces Redux - 6 record set

The excitement is still a bit limited. Which shows? What kind of package? Extensive booklet? Will it be pricey or expensive? Will there be international distribution or we have to face postage fees that are as high as ever?? More info is needed. The sooner the better.
