It occurs to me that Bruce Thomas has actually worked with Pete Townshend before, as part of Paul McCartney's "Rockestra" project in 1979.

Since it was previously reported that The Who was using Greg Lake on bass, I'm guessing they're not limiting themselves to a single bass player on the new album.

Sad to say, I failed to get tickets to the House of Blues show (that'll teach me to borrow the credit card number without also getting the security code). I'm hoping to find someone with extras, although with the concert so soon in the future, I'm afraid the odds aren't good.

I'd like to believe that the February release date is accurate. But in light of the fact that they've previously been announced as coming in April, I think it's far more likely that John's information is outdated than that they've been moved up two months.
