Has anyone seen Persepolis? Really want to see that...great book, and it looks like a great animation. It's fabulous. Should have been nominated for Best Picture--way more innovative and touching than anything that was nominated. (I still haven't seen Juno , but I think this is a pretty safe bet.)

I also saw Iron Man--it was enjoyable. My main quibble is that all the CGI in movies these days sucks the drama out of the fight scenes for me. It's like, "Look, the big toy is beating up the little toy!"

When are you going? I'm taking a short trip out there in late June/early July.

Otis--if you have a bootleg recording, try adding track numbers in the information section. Alphabetical, I think, is the default when there are no track numbers.

What a depressing article from the Independent; the writer seemed like kind of an asshole, prodding her to talk about a lot of things that were clearly extremely painful.

Check and check. Pop songs should have depressing lyrics and music compelling enough that you have no idea what you're singing along to!
