That's just crazy. I hope Elvis serves you dinner and plays 5 of your requests for that price.

Re: US TOUR DATES

Sorry for your experiences--but thank you for the alert, because I didn't realize there was a pre-sale today. Managed to get 2 seats in Row S on the aisle in Asbury Park, which I'm happy with. $100 tickets plus service fees = $241 total.

Hoping to enjoy some new songs!

I don't mind the requests, but sometimes the timing is awful, like the Two Little Hitlers moment. Here's a truly lovely moment, when So Like Candy was requested at Carnegie Hall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD9pjDqaquk#t=5s Lisa's face lit up just now when I played this, with goose bumps ensuin...

Kimmel mentioned that Elvis was going to sing Alison and will post it on YouTube at some point. Nothing as of yet.

Just Elvis (no guitar) and piano for the main song. Sounded good in this stripped down arrangement.

Imperial Bedroom and Twitter

Elvis' Twitter account has been regularly posting lyric snippets from Imperial Bedroom along with some of the artwork from the recent shows. I wonder if he's not finished with this project yet?

Wow, I am getting old. 40 years ago, yikes!!! MAIT still retains a freshness and energy to it after all these years. Now how about a new album El? It really is amazing how fresh this album still sounds. Really, all the Nick Lowe-produced albums have a timelessness to them that keeps them relevant t...

Re: EC & Imposters - Tue, Nov 1, 2016, Pittsburgh, Heinz Hall- CANCELLED

This is actually my second Elvis cancellation, because I drove to Penn State in ’81 and you were caught in that snowstorm. Oh my goodness, that one! We started out with the best of intentions. Oh my goodness, I remember that distinctly. They said, “You might not make it.” We were like “Nahhh…” We w...

Well that's a fine little song there. And I have to say I've never really looked at those lyrics, so some of my mis-hearing has been corrected (Like: why does everybody have to be so heavy hearted...)

Thanks for sharing!

Got a chance to see Squeeze last week in Newark. Fantastic show. The new album is pretty great too. The (English) Beat opened up for them. I was having serious flashbacks to 1982.

Bring on Imperial Bedroom!

Re: Elvis's Worst Song And Why

"Tokyo Storm Warning" is a favorite of mine, from a top 5 Elvis album. I really like the monotony of the groove and many of the turns of phrase in the lyrics: "Japanese God-Jesus robots, telling teenage fortunes" etc. Blood and Chocolate is an album of never-skips for me.
