Elvis Costello & The Imposters Announce Spring UK Tour
JUST TRUST ELVIS COSTELLO AND THE IMPOSTERS

Elvis Costello and The Imposters bring their new show to the U.K. in February, 2020. Tickets On-Sale Now!

Elvis Costello and The Imposters will bring their new show to the U.K.
for their first tour of the decade in February and March, 2020.

The tour is entitled, “Just Trust” in answer to the musical questions: “Will they play my favourite song?," or, “Are they going to frighten the horses with songs that are rarely performed and send some of their old nags off to pasture?” When ticket holders ask, “Can I expect the hits of yesteryear and those of tomorrow?"

We say: Just Trust Elvis Costello and The Imposters.
This superlative ensemble - Steve Nieve on keyboards, Pete Thomas on
drums, and bassist and vocalist, Davey Faragher - are once again
augmented by singers Kitten Kuroi and Briana Lee, all of whom were heard
on the acclaimed 2018 Concord Records release, 'Look Now,' numbers from
which will find their rightful place among the highlights from one of
the most unique and renowned song catalogues in popular music.

E.C. and The Imposters finally get to bring one of their recent stage
shows to England, Scotland and Wales, with return concert engagements in
Cardiff and Edinburgh, which they visited as recently as the summer of
2018, while the date at the Sunderland Empire marks the first appearance
in the city for forty years.

The tour opens on February 28th at the Eventim Olympia in Liverpool, a
former circus on the West Derby Road and therefore on the singer's bus
route home from school during his years living on Merseyside.

The tour comes after a season of unlikely accolades in which the now
defunct British Empire finally acknowledged a member of the enduring
MacManus Clan with a medal that both friends and detractors have assumed
stood for the "'Orrible Bloody Elvis" medal and in the same year in
which Costello received a Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star alongside Spike
Lee, Billy Idol, Burt Ward and his former video co-star, Julia Roberts
and following in the footsteps of Fred Astaire, Ruby Keeler and Rin Tin
Tin, among many, many other stars of stage, screen and the radio airwaves.

Elvis Costello and The Imposters most recent record release
was the E.P., "Purse" containing songs co-written with Burt Bacharach
and Paul McCartney along with musical settings of words by Johnny Cash
and Bob Dylan. It is available from all reputable phonographic emporiums
or if you go fishing in the stream.

Get it while you can.
Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

First I've heard of the Hollywood thing. Did they have the ceremony already?

I don't think so.

"Dates have not been scheduled for these star ceremonies. Recipients have two years to schedule star ceremonies from the date of selection. Upcoming star ceremonies are announced ten days prior to dedication on www.walkoffame.com."

Glad you mentioned this, Colin - just managed to nab one near the front of the Hammersmith balcony. Only a few left at the back, now. That said, a lot may have been snuffled by agencies!

Our Liverpool tickets have arrived. We’re both quite short so if Colin sticks with us he’ll be fine!

I wonder if Jennifer Lopez will feature in the 12 Latin singers thing? Implausible as this enterprise sounds.

I think this is where Elvis renounces Liverpool and Klopp et al and sings the Kinks song "Well Respected Man" with the lines
"He adores the girl next door and he's dying to see Arteta"
I'm still waiting for my Birmingham and Nottingham tickets - what is it with the Midlands ??

Does anyone know how I can reliably sell a spare ticket? I’ve just been told by AXS they won’t be posting it to my address and I have to pick it up right before the show.

Hi

Picked up a ticket for the Justtrust show in Blackpool on 9th March, now just need to get there - and back, obviously!
Last train seems to leave before the encores finish, so is anyone able to offer me a lift from the Liverpool area? Happy to contribute to petrol, parking etc.
Please send me a PM if you are able to help me out.
Cheers

Colin- in stalls row V, I assume this is 20 miles from the stage.

Where is it for? I am sure the good people on here or various Facebook groups might be able to find a home for it

It’s for Southampton: 1st March. Front stalls, row BB (second row), end of row. I think there is no one directly in front of this seat. Face value. Can hand it over half hour before the show. I’ve put it on a certain face value website (not sure you’re allowed to mention it on here) but they add their own fees.

If they just repeat the same setlist in Sunderland that they did in 1980, I'd be very (Get) Happy!

01. I Stand Accused
02. The Beat
03. Temptation
04. Green Shirt
05. Moods For Moderns
06. Watch Your Step
07. Goon Squad
08. Secondary Modern
09. (I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea
10. Girls Talk
11. (The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes
12. High Fidelity
13. I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself
14. Lipstick Vogue
15. King Horse
16. Accidents Will Happen
17. The Imposter
18. Watching The Detectives
19. You Belong To Me
20. Oliver's Army
21. I Can't Stand Up For Falling Down
22. Pump It Up

with maybe the addition of
Possession
Beaten To The Punch ( in 7ths in case you've forgotten, chaps)
From A Whisper To A Scream
Different Finger and
Big Sister's Clothes
