Blood and Chocolate Survivor - Results

The winner is... I Hope You're Happy Now. I am genuinely surprised that this won, but it's not too unbelievable considering that it is much more upbeat and entertaining than the slow and brooding I Want You.

This has been another great survivor. Our first survivor to have no ties. I'll take another long break to run another survivor, then we you will pick which of the three remaining albums you want us to do.

Well it is a great song.

And I'm glad 'I Want You' didn't win.

I don't hate 'I Want You' - it's an entirely successful song at what Elvis was trying to do - it's amazing. But I just can't bear to listen to such a negative, sinister song very often.

At least 'I Hope You're Happy Now' has humour in the seething rage:

'But you make him sound like frozen food: his love will last forever'

and

'Like a matador with his pork sword, while we all die of laughter'

It's a terrific song, and those sudden stops are fabulous, as mentioned before, first premiere on Whistle Test months before the album came out. Here is that clip:

That said, I would have preferred Blue Chair, Crimes of Paris or Next Time Round to top this chart. But I love all of them, apart from 'Honey Are You Straight', which I like very much rather than love. ALL THE OTHERS, I LOVE!

What a turn up for the books. Blood and Chocolate is such a great record.

thank you for the poll. Really interesting to see what the forum's favourite songs are on each album even though I dont think mine has won any of them.
