The Pearl Theater is attached to the Palms Casino and opened in 2007. Elvis and The Imposters played there in 2021 when touring with Blondie, and previously in 2011.

Ticket prices start at $50 and go up to $139 for the best "Platinum" front row seats. The show has sold OK, so far but around 40% of the seats remain for sale across all areas of the theatre. Quite a few "verified resale" seats are available.

There are already verified resale tickets available for prices which appear to be below face value (starting at $39).

Who's going?

I’ll be there sitting in almost the exact same seat I was in when I saw him with Blondie in this same vent.

Short preview by Geoff Carter in the Las Vegas Weekly published on June 14, 2023:

"SATURDAY, JUNE 17

Elvis Costello & The Imposters

MUSIC: ELVIS COSTELLO & THE IMPOSTERS Funny thing about Elvis Costello: He gets better and better, the longer you listen to him. I’ve found that to be the case with his live shows—they end stronger than they begin, with Costello in better voice and delivering bigger hits—and, in a way, with his discography, too. That’s not to say that his most recent album, 2022’s The Boy Named If, is superior to 1977’s My Aim Is True, or even equal to it. But there’s something that happens when you allow yourself to really dive into his work, similar to what you feel when you begin bingeing a TV show: You find yourself with an appetite that can only be sated by listening to even more Elvis Costello. Luckily for you, he’s bringing some 46 years’ worth of music to the Palms, along with two great support acts in Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets. 7:30 p.m., $34+, Pearl Concert Theater, ticketmaster.com."

Nick Lowe’s opening set was great. Surprised more people aren’t talking about it.

Confession: I almost passed on this concert. I was in the group who thought Costello’s voice was done. Well, I am happy to report I was very wrong. This was the strongest I’ve heard his voice since the Roots shows. Charlie Sexton should be a permanent Imposter. Everything seemed so fresh and almost spontaneous. This is usually not a great sounding venue but the sound was very good from my seat. Vegas crowds usually are not great and there were sections in the crowd that were crummy but overall it was a very receptive crowd that really seemed to enjoy the mew songs. This was around the 20th time I’ve seen Elvis and I think this was one of the better shows I’ve seen.

Fantastic news . Couldn’t agree more about Charlie , it frees Elvis up a bit more . I think his voice is stronger than in 2018- 2020 too. Thanks for the review glad you had a great time !!

Ok. With a clear head, I can say When I was Cruel was NOT played. Someone on FM setlist was trying to convince me otherwise. So I was right the first time.

As an aside, Charlie was clearly upset during Allison as he was having technical issues with his guitar. Was still pretty good.

I was able to get a copy of the setlist but I am too dumb to figure out how to post a picture of it here. Regardless, songs on the setlist that were not played: Isabelle in Tears, Farewell Ok, and I Want You. Songs not on the setlist but were played: Talking in the Dark, Licorice on Your Tongue, and Blood and Hot Sauce.

Also, I noted that there was a megaphone on stage, which gave me some hope that he would play Wise Up Ghost (which he did not). What other songs does Elvis use a megaphone live other than WUG?
