Blue and I just got our very own kitten. She's the sweetest thing ever - both playful and snuggly. She's currently crawling all over my lap and purring.
He's not exactly my pet, but a massive snapping turtle showed up in our back yard this evening, crawling along the top of a stone retaining wall. Here he is, in all his glory. Check out those claws!
Well, jokes are always in the funnybone of the beholder, and this was pretty "in"....a long time ago, when Blue was using pics of himself as his avatar and switching them around, it seemed to me that looked really different from each other. And in at least one, he bore a marked resemblance to the last U.S. President capable of pronouncing "nuclear" and "dissemble."
WSS, them snappers can be mean! One was crossing our little road once and I took the kids to look - the damn thing starting chasing us. I saw one at the Dollywood entrance early one morning that was so big I was afraid I couldn't drive over it - but I did, thinking here goes my tire. They are dinosaurs.
anyway, Red and Blue, congrats on your kitty. And when it gets cold this winter, make him some ear muffs.
Well, we're waiting until we meet her to be sure, but we think we're gonna call her Hermione. We just a few minutes ago bought her a little Red Sox collar!
Our puppy arrives tomorrow! In the mean time, here's Tai Shan, the 'baby' panda Jack and I saw at the National Zoo. So cute (and thank gosh for a decent zoom)!
What I like most about pandas is that they eat eucalyptus leaves mostly because they don't move. They prefer meat but are too lazy to hunt, but if a small animal scurries past them they will put their paw down!

I feel about that lazy at times... but isn't it Koalas who eat mostly eucalyptus?
