Gruesome as it may look it's good to see that our new cat isn't too domesticated and is able to forage etc.

I honestly don't think cats can be that domesticated! They're killers! Psycho killers at that. I know they can't be vegetarian, but they seem to have a real physical need to hunt/kill/toy with cruelly.

My boy wants a dog in the worst way, but my wife is not keen on the idea at all. Maybe she'll soften as he gets older.
