Neither are in my top ten, but I'm not a great fan of DDB and so it's OOOI for me.

Interesting that nobody is interested in this match.

Maybe it's a bit like Wimbledon V Coventry or something. UK Footie fans will understand.

I've never heard of these albums, so I better not vote.
Loving this board since before When I Was Cruel.

OOOI

Deep Dead Blue does nothing for me although Love Field is one of my favourite tracks.

I have to skip past Gigi.

It was worth getting OOOI just for the tie ups eg Seven Day Weekend, Baby It's You etc at the time when otherwise you'd have spent a small fortune in trying to complete your EC collection.

If it's got the word 'idiot' in the title, then I'm bound to vote for it.
Like me, the "g" is silent.

OOOI is like Taking Liberties only much later, collecting B-sides, tracks from soundtracks and side projects together in one place. It pretended to be a "Various Artists" album, with tracks by the pseudonymous artists to which they were first credited, like the Coward Brothers and the Emotional Toothpaste. I think the CD version has 21 tracks. Most of these songs have appeared on the Ryko or Rhino reissues, making OOOI a nice bit of trivia.

Deep Dead Blue is a live mini-album by jazz guitarist Bill Frisell and EC, which was released in Europe but not the US (my copy is from Germany). Bill plays and Elvis sings, with no other accompaniment. I happen to like this recording, but the selections are somewhat offbeat: "Weird Nightmare," a Charles Mingus tune; "Gigi," which Maurice Chevalier sang about Audrey Hepburn's character (I think it was) in the movie of the same name; "Shamed Into Love," which Elvis wrote with Ruben Blades for one of his albums but hasn't released himself (except this recording and the one on For the Stars); the title track, which Elvis wrote with Frisell; and "Baby Plays Around," "Poor Napoleon" and "Love Field."

Sometimes it delays it"
