These east coast dates with Bob Dylan seem to knock on the head the rumoured MAIT/Clover shows as being part of The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival.

Dylan is presently in the midst of a short Australia and New Zealand and run, and will also perform Sept. 16 at the Austin City Limits festival in Austin, Texas. As previously reported, he will be the subject of the 51-track, three-disc retrospective "Dylan," due Oct. 1 via Columbia.

Before the Dylan shows, Costello is playing dates with Steve Nieve as well as local symphony orchestras in such markets as Nashville, Cary, N.C., and Minneapolis.

Track List Unveiled For Career-Spanning 'Dylan' Sets

The track list has been finalized for the Bob Dylan compilation "Dylan," due Oct. 2 via Columbia. I saw where he was coming to the Ryman, but the night wasn't all that good for us to be on the road now that we don't have a child in the house who can drive - well, for very long.

It would have been nice, but Elvis wasn't going to be there. At least I'm pretty sure he wasn't.

Sigh.

It'll be interesting to see what material Elvis chooses to do. When Elvis supported Bob back in 1995 he was mainly trying out songs that ended up on All This Useless Beauty.

There doesn't appear to be any new album in the pipeline and the only new song he's been playing recently is American Gangster Time.

I would also suspect that Bob and Elvis will do a few songs together at the end of each show.

And it's Paulo, that's such a corny mistake.

He's Michael's useless lardy brother. Kind of like Paul Ross is to Jonathan (without the phone rig voting though).
