Needless to say, I'm really close with that family. I dated said friend for about two months and spent more time over their house than I did my own. Luckily, we're still the best of friends, and things didn't get awkward and such. But, yeah, I'll grant it's probably weird. I call my other friend's grandmother 'Grandma' too....weirder still?Otis Westinghouse wrote:To me calling your friend's mom 'Mom' is totally weird and embarrassing. far more than using a first name!
I'm a Northerner (of the US) and I still use Sir and Ma'am....I say y'all too. I have a variety of different slang sets I use. I'm also fond of the expression 'the bees knees.' Sometimes I say 'Agmemnon (sp) eats toast' when I'm exasperated. Who knows where I got that...
And back to homework.....Oedipus, catalase, synthetic division, colliquial (sp) spanish, and Teddy Roosevelt....anyone use these things in their life journey yet?

I have never tired of this song - and here they are:mood swung wrote:I spread it around...
anybody else seized with a sudden urge to sing Little Willy?
anybody?
North side, east side
Little Willy, Willy wears the crown, he's the king around town
Dancing, glancing
Willy drives them silly with his star shoe shimmy shuffle down
Way past one, and feeling alright
'Cause with little Willy round they can last all night
Hey down, stay down, stay down down
'Cause little Willy, Willy won't go home
But you can't push Willy round
Willy won't go, try tellin' everybody but, oh no
Little Willy, Willy won't go home

...Oh Debora, you look like a zebra
Your sunken face is like a galleon
Clawed with mysteries of the Spanish Main, oh Debora...

echos myron like a siren
with endurance like the liberty bell
and he tells you of the dreamers
but he's cracked up like the road
and he'd like to lift us up, but we're a very heavy load

I’m a ‘grown woman’ (at least I hope I’m not gonna get any bigger) and I call myself Debbie - Deb is a bit short (and not half as symetrical as dib or dob) and Debra just reminds me of being at school, getting told off and having to write hundreds of lines:
“I will not play the fool in classâ€

Debbies of the world unite!
(and I am not going all Paris Hilton here. It's my name too - just add a syllable and an H. I never thought of a better one for me, so it stands. I do insist I was adopted, however).
BWAP, YOU are the youtube master! Great stuff.
Mike Boom, that Reynolds wrap is going to your head.

The SATs seemed easy......really easy. I'm hoping not deceptively so. If I did well, you will all know, and if I didn't, you'll never hear about it again. Cause if I did well......everyone's gonna know. Even though it doesn't mean too much. Damn, I'm tired.
Edited to say: I won a t-shirt! That totally made my day. I've wanted a mental_floss shirt, and now I shall have one. *dances*![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
