Incredibly Obscure Trivia Question Re: The Juliet Letters

Post by susanf »

Hello,

I have an incredibly obscure question that I am afraid shows how deep my desire to know all bits of trivia re: Elvis, and especially "The Juliet Letters" is...... The wife of Michael Thomas of the Brodsky Quartet, whose name is Marina P. Thomas, helped out with lyrics to several of the songs from TJL.....Um, does anyone know what the "P." of her middle name stands for?

If you look up one of her co-written songs ("Dear Sweet Filthy World," for instance) in ASCAP's database, her name is given as Marina del Mar Thomas-Pedraza.

Pedraza is a small town in the sierra north of Madrid, Pedraza de la Sierra in full. It's famous as a venue for weekend roast meat blowouts, chiefly roast lamb, or maybe suckling pig or goat. Entirely delicious, unless your name is Elvis or Moz. Just thought I'd share that.
