cover to cover

Post by jardine »

I'm just about to start a new semester at work and I've decided to do something I haven't done in quite a while, this time drive to and from: start w. MAIT (w. bonus disc) and go step by step through till NR.

anyone got any tales of having done this before, start to recent? last time i did it was at least 10 years ago.

Back in the late 90s up to about 2002, I decided to reduce the large number of live cassettes I had to a more manageable quantity of minidiscs and re-recorded all the Elvis shows I had - then about 800 I guess and listened to the and compared setlists with the ECIS lists and Beyond Belief. A labour of love that I'm not sure I'll ever have the time to repeat again !

When I first got iTunes in 2005 I loaded up all the Elvis CDs to date, and burned the contents onto new discs in chronological order by recording date (as best as I could ascertain). I recently took the stack with me on a road trip, and I enjoyed hearing some of the stuff in a slightly different context.
