Fantasy rock group

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Fantasy rock group

Post by laughingcrow »

What do you think? Without using members from the same band, create the fantasy rock group...

I'd go for:

FREDDIE AND THE FUSILIERS

vocals...Freddie Mercury
lead guitar...Jimi Hendrix
second lead guitar (just cos it'd be cool)...Rick Nielsen
bass...Flea
keyboards...Steve Nieve
drums...John Bonham

I think they'd be a pretty versatile combo, and what a show!!!!

The Bubba Jam Orgasmic Boogie Band

1) Robert Plant on vocals (in his prime)
2) Bootsie Colins on bass
3) Jimi Hendrix on Guitar
4) Stewart Copeland on Drums
5) and assorted Neville Brothers doing there thing.
I'd never leave the house if I had a Gimp

Elvis Costello (from Elvis Costello & The Attractions)
Bruce Thomas (from Quiver)
Steve Nieve (from Steve Nieve & the Playboys ie Jonathan Ross' houseband)
Pete Thomas (from Squeeze)

What a group that would make!

Hey, the rules are only being bent around, not broken!

That's frightening.

How about this?

The Session Men

James Burton, guitar (hey, worked for Elvis.. both of them!)
Steve Cropper, guitar (great soul session guitarist)
James Jamerson, bass (Motown's legendary session bassist)
Nicky Hopkins, piano (played with Lennon, The Kinks, The Who, etc.)
Jim Keltner, drums (played with Elvis, Lennon, Harrison, Dylan, etc.)
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.
