Thanks, Tart. Wow, those are good tickets. How I envy you. How big a fan are you? Here's a report + setlist from Montreal, to whet your appetite. No surprises, but a fine setlist. What would you have him add to this? enjoy the gigs and give as full a report as you can bear to!

David Bowie returned to the stage in Montreal at the Bell Canada Centre last night, after a five-gig influenza-induced hiatus. This was the first show since his November 28th appearance in Glasgow.
According to a report from Reuters, it seems David almost didn't make the gig. Here's a bit from their online review:
"I didn't know if I could do the show tonight; I felt really ill, to be honest with you," Bowie, 55, (sic) revealed near the end of his 110-minute set at the Bell Canada Centre on Saturday. But, in his words, the show turned out to be "really memorable" as he performed hits from all facets of a diversified career spanning almost 40 years.
The report goes onto explain that despite the sniffles, David went on to pull out the stops and deliver as only David Bowie can:
But his illness did not appear to affect his voice, which he stretched to its fullest on such classics as "Life on Mars" and "All the Young Dudes." He apologised in French for his poor command of the language, smiled at fans in vintage tour t-shirts, and caught a bouquet of flowers, but he drew the line at a Disney stuffed toy offered to him.

The MSG set list was pretty similar to other recent ones. Looks like it's settled into a fairly standard pattern, with fewer changes than in the early European dates. I just wish he'd sling some more ones from the golden years of 76 and 77 in. I was thinking they could do a great segue of when Sunday steps up to a full-on groove, taking the pace up a bit and going into Stay. It would be so cool as at first you wouldn't notice it was another song, and then he'd just go into the verse of Stay and the diehards would be in heaven. Should I apply for a job as Bowie's next musical director?

Here I am! I was having computer problems,so frustrating being cutoff like that..anyway.Bowie performed his magic,security at the Garden is nil so I had a wonderful center aisle view about 5 people away from the stage.I was suprised to hear only three Reality songs,from those three I could have done without Loneliest Guy and put in Big Car or Never Get Old.I adore your Sunday/Stay idea,I think you'd do a fantastic job as musical director!! I had never heard him do 5 Years live before,that brought tears to my eyes.
