Is it dirty? A NEW GAME!!!!
You can't be no geek off the street.
You gotta be handy with the steel...earn ya keep.
OK, HERE'S THE GAME:
Is it Dirty?
I'll quote a lyric that I believe may be dirty.
You say if it's dirty or not.
Then you quote a lyric.
BTW, I dig Paul's "1 2 3 4" counting in to the 12-bar original on the anthology. Groovy song.
Here's lyric number 1:
Turn up the TV. No one listening will suspect,
even your mother won't detect it,
no your father won't know.
Is it dirty?

Loving this board since before When I Was Cruel.
I always thought it was a salacious lyric about either self-pleasure or sneaking a lover into the TV room. Of course I always heard it as "So your father won't know". BTW it was great to hear LTZ at the Proud Larry's gig and at Santa Rosa!!
How about "There's a boy somewhere holding hands with himself"?

i´d probably say yes, it is a dirty line but then again it could only be a very vivid image of teenage loneliness........which by the way could lead to serious masturbation.....
ok, what about this one:
"YOU WANT HER BROKEN WITH HER MOUTH WIDE OPEN"
ok, what about this one:
"YOU WANT HER BROKEN WITH HER MOUTH WIDE OPEN"
...the promise of indulgence in my confidential voice approached inmortal danger but you´ll never know how close....

You act dumb.
You say you're so numb.
You say you don't come
under his thumb.

I wish that I could push a button
And talk in the past and not the present tense
And watch this hurtin' feeling disappear
Like it was common sense
It was a fine idea at the time
Now it's a brilliant mistake

Dont forget this one:
Oh yes I was a comical priest
"With a joke for the flock and a hand up your
fleece"

not dirty...."If I'm gonna go down, you're gonna come with me."
All of Love Field is about an outdoor shag isn't it, and even a car that catches them at it!?!?!?
You yield with your lips still sealed
Breath comes sharp and heart beats faster
Headlights that startled this embrace of ours
Feel the anxious rhythm of a functional stranger
So, we're all agreed that sex is, in fact, dirty....
To quote Woody Allen...
Psychologist: Do you think sex is dirty?
Woody: Yes, if you're doing it right.
Another apposite semi-misquote: Sex between two people who genuinely love each other is a very beautiful, very natural thing. And between three or more people, it's fantastic.
So, I'm going to say that lyric from "Love Field" are sexual, but not neccessarily "dirty", since it's pretty tasteful
Yet, I do note a digital turn of mind on some of these lines that starts me to thinking...
How about this line:
It only took my little finger to blow you away?

It could mean what you think it means. EC could have also meant pulling the trigger of a gun and killing the person he was talking about.bobster wrote:How about this line:

well, bm, you got put up an elvis line like 63 just did and then someone says whether they think it is dirty or not. we're playing a game you can't win. all of our games are like that, it is just that people sometimes quit over them.
I'm not concerned about the very poor.
