how we are sabotaging ourselves today?

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

My Baby

Hey Sulky! If you didn't like the slut Mercury, maybe you'd like my OTHER car! It was built in Canada!

I'm not really sure who those people are...

Okay okay, it's JosieCat and her kids. I love them dearly, or as much as possible being that my old age is distorting the whole thing....

I once had a Mercury Caliente ('64) that was built in Canada, the Canadian version of the "Comet". It absolutely KICKED ASS (that is, until my hubby got side-swiped in a busy Seattle Intersection by some dipstick in a Hurkin' 4x4 pick-up that decided to run a red light...)

No, seriously, I simply REFUSE to own a vehicle with an Automatic Tranny. What's the point??

Hmm, will have to post a picture of my "Rubaru", also known as "Yoshi", sometime in the near future...

Oh, and Rope...another link with you in mind:

Here's my OTHER OTHER car...

I'm dropping in a crate wedge and a four-speed. As soon as I get laid off...

Comets are cool. I also own a Falcon...

Get Your War On is so right on...

I'm lookin' for a '64 or '65 Falcon Sprint.

This is the used car thread, right?

Also - I have a '97 Dakota for sale (V6, 2WD, Manual Transmission) - low mileage.

Would you buy a used car from this man?

My Falcon is a '63 Futura 4-door. The motor has been rebuilt, but it's in the back seat right now. I should work on it, but I'm too busy blogging.

It's funny that I don't have a photo. My external drive crashed, and I lost an awful lot of stuff...

BWAP, prices on those Falcon Sprints are going up all the time. They can be very powerful with just a little modification. I'd like one, too!

Sulky, Sprints are basically the same as Calientes. I think Caliente means "fast" or "hot" in Spanish.

Caliente means hot, literally.

HELLO AND WELCOME TO CAR TALK

Post by selfmademug »

...just dropped in on this, the used car thread, as acknowledged.

I'm a total wuss cause I only drive an automatic. However, the thing about Falcons caught my eye. I grew up being hauled around in a gold '64 Falcon Wagon, with the black vinyl interior (damn was that ever tough on sunburned legs after heating up all day in the parking lot of the Jersey Shore in the summer....). Wotta car. Would love to have it now, of course...

Instead I am very happy with my ultimate urban Mom-mobile, the Subaru Outbackl wagon.

Yes, well, I don't drive, and it's Monday morning, and after a weekend of work, I'm still not done with the goddamn Renaissance! So it's off the terrace for me. At least the last thing I see will be this:

I can't believe I'm going to die without ever figuring out how to insert images in my posts...
