What happens here... is you pick any song on the list. For any reason.
Then, you respond, with the reason that you selected it. For example:
"My least favorite on the list"
"My most favorite on the list"
(im hoping it gets more original than the above two sentences)
Go!

Damn pollsters!
I choose Chelsea and Strict Time because they are both specialized ass-kickers.

I think you should.noiseradio wrote:Running out of Angels because it's my favorite unrecorded demo of EC's. I long to hear a finished, arranged version of this song. Maybe I'll do it myself.
I plan on lining up every drink listed in "The Deportees Club" and drinking them, barely escaping alcohol poisoning.
Too bad I didnt make it a selection.

I'll have to agree with that -- he did the same thing in Philadelphia a few weeks later. That version is tied with the Frisell version as my sentimental favorites.warm cellophane wrote:PN because it was the final song he played at the Wiltern in '86 -- left the stage in a blanket of feedback. awesome!

Episode of Blonde because it rolls so many great EC and Attractions/Imposters elements into it. The sinister intro is faintly reminiscent of "Watching the Detectives" (as I hear it, anyway). He bites, and the song bites but with a lilting melody that I can't get out of my head whenever I hear it.
Did her green eyes seduce you and make you get so weak?
Was there fire engine red that she left upon your cheek?
It's such a shame you had to break the heart
You could have counted on
But the last thing you need is another

And then again, WRAH/WHAR, maybe this is just a silly game you are playing to find a new and creative way to slam right-thinking opinions. It will be interesting to see if the IP addresses are one and the same for the two hitters and runners. After all, it is a group, evidenced by "We".
Or is that a subliminal reference to the French....

I picked Glitter Gluch because I love to sing it while I drive. Once I was at a stop light and I was really getting into it. It was towards the end when EC is singing the hungry parts and I was really screaming the words. Then I look to my left to see two hot girls laughing at me.
I wish that I could push a button
And talk in the past and not the present tense
And watch this hurtin' feeling disappear
Like it was common sense
It was a fine idea at the time
Now it's a brilliant mistake
