Ringo's All-Starr Band

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Ringo's All-Starr Band

Post by BlueChair »

Ya know... Ringo's latest All-Starr Band is pretty lame...

I just saw a video on VH1 Classic of an early incarnation of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band doing "It Don't Come Easy"

I couldn't believe the people I saw together on stage... Clarence Clemons from The E-Street Band on sax, Rick Danko from The Band on bass, Nils Lofgren and Joe Walsh on guitars, Dr. John and Billy Preston on keyboards, and Levon Helm and Jim Keltner on drums.

The version I saw.....sometime in the 90's was pretty cool. It was the lineup with Todd Rundgren, Burton Cummings, Joe Walsh, Nils Lofgren, Timothy B Schmidt (I think), to name a few.

It was quite fun!

I'll have to check out this new lineup.

The original "It Don't Come Easy" is one of my all time favourites, but second to "Photograph" on my All-Time Ringo list.

I remember Ringo's band having Gary Booker and Peter Frampton, can't remember who else. It was cool, you know, Peter Frampton. And that voice guitar thing.
