Ding ding ding!
Atta-boy, So Lack!
THE SATELLITE
She looked like she learned to dance from a series of still pictures
She's madly excited now, she throws her hands up like a tulip
She looks like an illistration of a party
Where champagne bubbles burst in the air, champagne rolls off her tongue
Like a second language
And it should have been her biggest night
The satellite looks down on her as she begins to cry
All over the world, at the very same time people sharing the same sorrow
As the satellite looks down her her darkest hour is somebody's bright tomorrow
He pulled on a cigarette, in the crook of his first finger
With the static electric charge of a perfect hourglass figure
As he undressed her with his eyes, her weakness was his talent
How could she know as she stepped through the lights, that her dress would beome transparent
And with his face pressed to the screen, he muttered words he'd never dare to say if she could see him
All over the world, at the very same time
People sharing the same cheap sensation the thrill of watching somebnody watching those forbidden things we never mention
The satellite looks down right now and forever
What he has torn apart let no man tether his own body to his dream
His dreams to someone else
Oh no, oh, no
She went back to a pitiful compromise
He'd go back to his family
But for the matter of a thousand miles that separated them entirely
In the hot unloving spotlight, with the secrets it arouses
Now they both know what it's like inside a pornographer's trousers
And in a funny way, it's anonymous, the satellite it blesses us and makes these dreams come true
All over the world
Tonight, I drink to So Lack's snoopability...

Again, anyone?
That was amazing, So Lack. Would you like to try your powers once more?
There is a new noun, a noun of renown, and it's becoming fixed even as we gaze stolidly into the blueness of the board. Harder, harder, the noun becomes harder, colder, more brutal as a rule, still.
This will take some patience, as I am heading to South Dakota come morning, and my visits to the board will be few and sporadic for the next few days. I'll be concentrating, thinking aloud the noun from time to time, sending it free to arrive at your temples. You ask the question, I give the clue.
Who's a hound dog?

Be generous with the praise - the above quoted lines contained enough clues to make it an absolute no-brainer.A rope leash wrote: My thought projection must have encountered some atmospheric distortion. That's a minor clue. I'll keep trying to transmit.
Smell the frequency.
My fourth guess was going to be an (Olivers) Army (Love) Field Radio (Radio).
Where's North from 'ere?

Thought power
Yes, you all asked the correct questions, and in the end, I gave it up unconciously, like a properly prepared prom date.
Storm gets credit for proving that the "wild guess" method can yeild results.
Okay, I'm off to Rushmore. I cannot say the noun is wet.

Remote
Greetings from a campsite in South Dakota. Bear with me here...
Ah, the rhyming question. I can tell you of only one word that the noun rhymes with, and I am reluctant to do so. Let me think about it.
It is not metal. It does not make noise. I do not believe it can be "fit" through anything.
The thing is, the question was asked, and I must answer. If I answer, it gives it away. Damn, So Lack.
It rhymes with "forth".
Come and get it...

Ban it
I hate the rhyming question. I may ban the rhyming question. The rhyming question sucks. The rhyming question is too easy. The rhyming question must go....

So kind of you...
Perhaps the questions should be limited to what the noun names, and not the noun itself. Funny, though, I've played this game a lot, and I don't think rhyming has ever come up.
I hate rules but they might be necessary. Come on, Marmaduke, give the answer and let's have us a little party...

We have a winner!
Very good, Noise! You must be psychic!
NORTH
North
The East has that Englishmen
And the rising sun
The West has the open plains
And how they were won
On Independence Day
For all it's worth
You can ring those southern belles
I'm going
North
Up were the rushing rivers run and salmon leap
I could even get there in my sleep
Give me the ice and snow
Time to go...
North
So run up a banner and we'll stand underneath
You gave me a starry flag
For one with a leaf
I'm on the borderline
I jump back and forth
There's nothing to stop me now
I'm heading...
North
Up where the polar bears and moose and geese will play
And some of them address you en français
Give me the ice and snow
Time to go...
North
And so I must leave you all
Alas and alack
And though we are parting now
I'll always come back
So as the compass points
That's where I'll be
But if you could only see
The perfection of...
North
It's something I will always carry in my heart
A place when dreams begin and life can start
Who cares what people know?
Let me go...
North

Rule number one
Whatever your heritage, you have not "spoilt" the game.
The noun is fixed, but if one must query "forth" upon its alphabetic structure, I will simply ignore the question, or worse, I will lie.
The noun is fixed. Read my mind.
O, do not ask, "What is it?"
Let us go, and make our visit...

i'm not good at these sorts of games online. requires too much concentration that i generally should be using for something else, like say, work.
i expect miss ba is packing for her trip to the states. i'm entertaining a friend from out of state thursday - tuesday, and likely won't be here much, if at all. august is vacation season.

August lull
There is more on my mind than just Dionne Warwick. There is a vision of a certain cause, a goal for which you might casually clamour. If you follow the clues, and ask the correct questions, you will undoubtedly read my mind eventually, as it's clear as day.
It works everytime. Then we party.
