Hello again, and this time it's for good

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Hello again, and this time it's for good

Post by laughingcrow »

Hello..ooh new teeth, that's weird...

So I have officially regenerated into the 2nd laughingcrow after intermittent passes, bungled attempts and foiled plots...this is it. An internet connection - only took me the best part 10 months.

So...what's new? Happy belated birthdays to you all, glad to see Pophead is safe and well...are hobnobs still hot or not?
Wolves look like they might just miss out on promotion again...if they're lucky. I saw Scotland draw with the mighty Italy, and went to Oslo (amazing place) to see them win. My cat got his manhood removed. More money, more responsibility, more monotony workwise. I loved and lost the big one, or maybe not so big in the grand scheme. The Marian Mcpartland/EC CD was great....as was the DVD...and Harry Potter 4 (for all you HP fans)...and the new Richard Thompson album, new Franz Ferdinand album, new Paul Weller album... (I've seen all 3 of them live recently too...all ace! Plus Robert Plant, which was very dissapointing). I got a snazzy new jacket and scarf.

That's about it. Now where were we...

I take it there's no way you could get down to London for the December 9 meet-up?

Welcome back! This place just ain't been the same without you. Look how cocky Otis has gotten, for instance. 8)

News, in a nutshell:

- We're coping without Copefan, but only just
- Miss BA is really living in BA now
- I have merged identities with Alexv, despite anything he may tell you
- The poster-formally-known-as-Thomasso is now Extreme Honey, and has just gotten his full set of adult teeth in
- A few of us have been exposed as utter EC frauds by scoring horribly on the Elvis Lyrics Quiz
- Pip 52 is now in San Francisco and is still the coolest person on the board, as determined by empirical evidence

Alas no....sorry, why don't you ever have one in Glasgow. Is this a conspiracy!?

Man, I've slipped down the table of posters - 6th! Maybe that makes me look a lot healthier than when I was sniffing at Blue coat tails. Should I reply to every post from the last couple of months, dredge them all back for air.....maybe not. It'll have to be the hard way.

On with the motley...

Prison! Nope, clost though...I was locked down in the dungeons underneath Faslane with a tea cosy on my head for preaching the forbidden words.

Crow! Good to have you back!
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Welcome back! I just accidentally set fire to a roll of paper towels, but other than that, things are quiet without you...

WTF"? I resent that deeply, Mugface.

Hey Crow, and I thought the avian flu had got ya. Glood to see you back.

Come on, you need that pre-Christmas London trip.

Time to take me down a peg or two then...

I soooo wiped your record, man. those coat tails are luring me, but I ain't quite close enough to sniff 'em.

Bugger all the posts, apart from the 200 from me on my current favourite topic, Elbow. The board needs more Elbow discussion! Sad to see from your list that you didn't see them up in scotland on their recent jaunt. Am off to see FF this week, so can compare notes.

Sadly no Elbow for me up here...FF were ace though, great use of the video on a massive screen behind them.
Watch out for their support the Editors...they were mince, a bastard chimera of U2 and Coldplay!

And heavily Joy Div influenced, it would seem. And The Rakes?

The Fallen live must be totally thrilling.

Woops, forgot to put any exclamation marks in my post above. Boy, do I seem nonchalant. Actually very excited you're back, Crow, eunuch kitty and all. Really.

Welcome back LC. Great to hear from you.

I hope to see you post more often (although on your recent record that won't be too difficult  ).

And will you kindly answer about joining us in London?

I think my cat has lost some respect for me...is this normal?

Alas, London is a no go....maybe in 2006...

Good to be in the company of many other 'comeback kids' - Rama, Quetzlcoatl, Lazarus, John Travolta, Chesney Hawkes, Dirty Den...

I'm off to Glasgow on the 12th for the Pogues Christmas gig on the 13th. Minimeet? Or any pub recommendations?

And Take That. And how apt that they sang "Back for Good". Is there any truth in you taking Robbie's place for the reunion shows?
