Re: US TOUR DATES
YIKES
not what I was expecting....thought he would tour before Diana Krall, not after! Guess you were right about Riot Fest being a one-off, BA. Although there's a lot of open time in August and September to fill....maybe September is going to be Album Promotion month. Guess we could have some pop up shows around the album release in somewhere like say NEW YORK (or Port Chester!) that isn't included in the November tour!
Boy this one is a tough one. I will hit the first 2 nights and maybe the weekend in CT/Boston...DAR not a favorite of mine in DC. Was hoping for a Ryman show as well.
Still have a feeling there will be some September shows....

Re: US TOUR DATES
If there is album promotion then let's hope the UK gets some fair treatment. We haven't had an Imposters album tour forever and a day. We didn't get a tour for Momofuku.
As for Asbury Park, Bruce Springsteen isn't on Broadway that night...

Elvis Costello Sets Fall Tour Ahead of New Album
Rocker schedules 20-date trek in support of first album since 2010's 'National Ransom'
Elvis Costello announced a fall tour with the Imposters in support of his soon-to-be-announced new album.
The 20-date, coast-to-coast "Look Now And Then...It's Elvis Costello & The Imposters" trek begins November 2nd in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and concludes December 4th in Vancouver, British Columbia. Prior to the tour, Costello has booked a gig at Chicago's Riot Fest in September.
Tickets for the tour go on sale June 22nd, with tickets to select shows purchased through Costello's official site paired with a preorder of his upcoming LP, his first with Concord Records.
News of the release date and title of Costello's new album, his first non-collaborative LP since 2010's National Ransom, is "imminent," the label promises.

Re: US TOUR DATES
Tell him Eugene...what's an extra half hour when you can get two shows instead of one? Asbury Paramount i think also has a loge and balcony area MUCH better for 'aerial viewing.' Wink wink. If i were doc, i would pull the trigger on TWO HARD TIX FOR ASBURY THIS WEEK, as the venue is kind of smallish i believe and more likely to sell out. On the other hand, the great theater in Wallingford, whatever it is called now, is much larger and cheap tix always remain available there. I think they even had a four seats for $80 special for the IB tour show there.Eugene wrote:According to the LiveNation page, ticket price is $35. https://concerts1.livenation.com/event/ ... 1516906211docinwestchester wrote:Wallingford is closer.Eugene wrote:

Re: US TOUR DATES
What a shit show the Asbury Park ticket sale was....at first there were only handicapped seats and scattered singles. The first two rows(PIT) never appeared, nor did the row immediately behind (row C). When 4th row appeared, all I got was "someone has beaten you to these blah blah blah".
Settled for 5th row on the aisle, and buyer beware, delivery options are hard ticket or mobile(show QC code on your phone).
Hoping there's something better in the Citi presale tomorrow.
Pair of tix came out to $355 with fees.

Re: US TOUR DATES
I couldn't agree more.. I tried to get in on the pre-sale and the only tickets listed where crap balcony tix. I was also getting a lot of site error messages or unable to list / find tickets BS. What's the point of offering fans a pre-sale ticket code with crap balcony seats? Then an hour later, I tried again, this time the site was operational.. meaning I wasn't getting "no tickets available" or "sorry an error occurred" messaging... I wanted floor seats, so when they finally popped up - after pushing buttons like I was gambling for the top prize or playing musical chairs to just to get the seat I wanted, I finally went through checkout and without any fair warning or pop up windows indicating the exorbitant ticket price, I paid $750.00 for 2 tickets. WTF? I could fly to London and back for that price. BOGUS, man... I called Ticketmaster, no refund. Platinum tickets - WTF... I was on the phone for 2 hours speaking with all sorts of folks - managers included and no refund... the last 'so-called' manager actually blamed the concert promoter and the artist for charging so much...
I am so pissed. I hate Ticketmaster / Live Nation and will never buy from them again. I will go through all underground methods to avoid their crap service and fees to get a ticket the I want. Honestly, I'd rather give extra money to scalper than the major tools I spoke to at Ticketmaster / Live Nation today.
I opened to BBB complaints - one for Ticketmaster, the other Live Nation. I will be disputing the transaction with my bank once it's completely processed... and now... I don't want to even go to this concert. I'm sort of not digging EC&Imps right now. Floor tickets - $750 - really dudes? I'll buy the new album, the t-shirt, the hot towel or tea towel...whatever you are selling... but $750 for 2 tickets... that's way too much. Is this a charity show? Is someone dying and needs medical help? WTF... I'm done! AND, I'm out...
OH.. anyone want to buy 3rd row floor tickets for EC&Imps on Dec. 1st - SF show? I will take the loss and sell them for face value - $125.00 a piece.
... The price I should have paid!! PM me through the board. Peace/Love/NOT UNDERSTANDING or tolerating ticket fraud and deceptive pricing.

Re: US TOUR DATES
Sorry for your experiences--but thank you for the alert, because I didn't realize there was a pre-sale today. Managed to get 2 seats in Row S on the aisle in Asbury Park, which I'm happy with. $100 tickets plus service fees = $241 total.
Hoping to enjoy some new songs!

Going to see Elvis in Memphis...
Not bad at all though I was hoping for another Ryman show. Anybody actually get the option to pre-purchase the album?

Re: US TOUR DATES
You need to call TM again and find out if The Paramount is a LiveNation venue. If it is, then you have a 72 hour window from time of purchase to GET A TOTAL REFUND. I'm very sorry this happened to you. I have alarms set in place if I spend over $500 on my credit cards for this very reason.MOJO wrote:I couldn't agree more.. Re: US TOUR DATES
The Masonic is a Live Nation venue, but why wouldn't they provide me a refund yesterday after an hour and half on the phone with them? I was told Platinum tickets are non-refundable. DAMN - $750 - I bought McCartney tickets at a lower price! Thanks for your note. I'm busy at work and can't really spend another hour on the phone with this co. OK, yesterday, I was distracted while placing this order (was on the phone talking with a colleague), but how difficult is it to place a ticket order - seriously? Where's the class action lawsuit for deceptive pricing/price gouging? I would love to sign on for that lawsuit.

Re: US TOUR DATES
I have to believe they'll be NY shows following the album release.
And, just for the record: It IS possible to go on tour and use ticket sellers other than Ticketmaster and LN. Difficult, maybe, but possible.

Not IMpossible, I meant....
Re: US TOUR DATES
Ha, ha! It would be great if I could just block 6 seats in the row and invite friends down to party. Seems like the $ covers 5-6 seats. Anyhow, I am an idiot. I should have paid more attention when placing the order, I guess. Wonky ass site however. I hate Ticketmaster.Harry Lime wrote:That's just crazy.
