Errr... Go Pats (I guess).
I really just want my wife to win her pool at work (they each get assigned a square on a grid).

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much, I have to root for the Seahawks from the NFC (originally from the Pac NW and my old man would be so happy) and the Colts in the AFC (Peyton is a New Orleans kid).

Same here then again I'm not a sports fan anyway. I had to play rugby for a few years in school so I have bit of an appreciation for that game. After rugby, American football seems like a bunch of sissies running around what with all that padding and those breaks every 10 seconds or so.selfmademug wrote:I just can't get worked up about football. Kinda wish I could but it just doesn't captivate me...

Oh dear among all of my crazy beleifs, values, philosophies and conspiracies that I shouldn't have mentioned I forgot to say that I have an unparalleled hate for the sport of hockey. I'm sorry.

But these people are talking about football, not hockey.

Yep, a great finish in Indy. I thought for sure that fumble was going back for a touchdown. Roethlisberger saved their bacon - and Bettis' blushes - with that tackle.ice nine wrote:Either team could have won, but the Steelers were victorious. Nail biting last couple of minutes

Yeah, I would like to see a Steelers-Seahags Super Bowl. My mom lives in the Seattle area and my brother lived in the 'Burgh for a few years, so I have some familiarity with both places.pophead2k wrote:Amazing finish, I actually jumped out of my chair, even though I was alone in the house! People here in Durham are pretty excited about the Panthers, but having lived so long in an area of football futility, its hard to know what to do. Go Seahawks!

What a great day that was. The season's already over for me. I couldn't be any happier. Go whoever. (But I'm secretly rooting for the Steelers now. Because they did me a solid by beating the Colts. God bless 'em.)noiseradio wrote:Anyone but the Colts suits me fine.
