I only wanted records for christmas in '83 & '84 so my aunt asked my mom what I liked & thinking of the posters on my wall (Priest, Kiss, Whitesnake) she replied "those longhaired types" & this is what I got:
I must admit I took advantage of those little girls' fondness for Careless Whisper, though, so it was a pretty good gift after all.
You know, I think they opened for Elvis when he played Chicago on the Brutal Youth tour. I remember humming the tune "This Is Hell" while waiting for them to finish.

Tuesday Night Music Club - Sheryl Crow
Reef - Can't recall the title
Parachutes - Coldplay
Let's Go Disco - various
Sparkle in the Rain - Simple Minds
Onka's Big Moka - Toploader
Best of Culture Club
Most embarrassing of all (cos its so recent):
Back From Bedlam - James Blunt...arrrghhhh...what was I thinking???
Ps. I don't mind some of early Billy Joel..It's not that bad.
I like that Crash Test Dummies album, and I thought they did a fabulous job opening for EC on the Brutal Youth tour. I also like their previous record, The Ghosts that Haunt Me. It contains "Superman's Song," which is one of my favorite 90's songs.
For me the worst is:
I take solace in the fact that after Cosmic Thing, it wasn't unreasonable to assume the B-52's would make another good record (however wrong I turned out to be). I also should point out that the only reason I still have it is that no used CD store will buy it from me.

Make It Big is a fabulous album, with the exception of "Like A Baby." Not only did I make sure to upload it onto my computer before heading out (I think all George Michael's solo stuff may have gotten sold at the merciless pre-move yard sale), but I just played it last week and my roommate and I sang along to *every word*. Favorite line: "And now you tell me that you're having my baby/ I'll tell you that I'm happy if you want me to."

I saw EC twice on this tour and found the Dummies (with their rehearsed patter- same each night, word for word- and complete lack of rock) to be excruciating. Actually kind of liked them until the live experience.
