Such a richly deserving list...it's so hard to cast anyone out...I'll say Kiefer Sutherland, just because I don't really see a huge break in his career. I've heard 24 is pretty good! In goes...John Cusack! And I'll defend that choice if forced, but not right now, because I'm sleepy.

1. John Cusack
2. Michael Jackson
3. Paula Abdul
4. Robert DeNiro
5. Tom Sizemore
6. Steve Martin
7. Sean Young
8. John Travolta
9. Mike Tyson

No, that's a good choice. Even though it makes me sad to agree with you.

But I'm sorry to say that your entry is too late (the contest ended March 1). I'm really sorry. It's my fault for bumping it, but please allow me to explain:

We've had a terrible storm (storms) for 2 days, and I'v ehad Internet access only sporadically. I bumped the thread with the intention of coming back after the lightning quit just to post final results. I didn't get a chance until just now.

But, since it's my fault, and since we're old friends and ate crepes together, and since you introduced me to Dinoysos, I'm making an exception. Here's the final list:

1. John Cusack
2. Michael Jackson
3. Paula Abdul
4. Robert DeNiro
5. Tom Sizemore
6. Steve Martin
7. Sean Young
8. John Travolta
9. Mike Tyson
10. OJ Simpson

And a right shameful bunch of celebrities it is.

I'm sorry. I am sensitive and my morality dictates this, but in my opinion there is no way in hell that John Cusack deserves to be on that list, and there was no way that Keifer Sutherland deserved to be on that list.

But Keifer, maybe. Cusack. No way. Bullets over Broadway, High Fidelity, Grosse Point Blank, i don't get it.

The rest...okay.

Mr. A, the most recent of the movies you listed was six years ago. What's he done sincce then? America's Sweethearts, Must Love Dogs, Serendipity...Do you see where I'm coming from? The *then* was great. The *now*? Not so much.

I suppose you have a good point Miss BA.
(Note to Bamboo: does that validate me as a kiss ass crawler, or just one who defers to a point well made?...Please absolve me oh great judge of the human character, you prick!)

I just like the guy. I think the fact that Woody used him in a film is some sort of testament to his ability as an actor. Evidently, and for whatever reason, either he is shitty at picking good scripts, or they just aren't coming his way.

One thing is for certain...he is a bit of a loser with the girls, and after a while, this recurring film theme may be type casting him a bit.

I must admit that I loved The Ice Harvest, and I thought he played a wonderful character in that film. And in Being John Malkovich, well, it was wierd, but he was pretty good with the whole sexual tension thing with Catherine Keener.

I think Being John Malkovich was the last decent film he made. It was 1999, though. He's made a lot of shit since then. I love the guy, which is why he disappoints me so much. I hope he returns to what he used to do, but until he does, I have to agree with Miss BA that he's been quite shameful for far too long.

That could be the pastisse talking though. Lord knows I've had my share tonight, Vive la France!

I suppose it is lost in the wind, but did no one actually see "Ice Harvest" and thus, like Bill Murray used to do on SNL, veto an actor or film simply because he did not see it?

Ice Harvest was damn good. Cusack was damn good.

Things roll in cycles. Know any great bands that had 3-5 years between great albums, with a few bummers in between.

The day I heed advice from that cold hearted atheist who wishes death and fire and hell and hate on good people, is the day that Hell will truly freeze over.

But your advise, oh sage visier, is always welcome. After all, your omniscience is the stuff of legends. You seem to know everything. How do you do it Boo? How do you do it?

Crawlin from the wreckage...

...your favorite ass-kisser (still, one of the funniest false attributes ever assigned to me). I am many things that are not endearing, but an asskisser is about the last opinion that I think would gain a consensus.

Dear Mr. Average or should I refer to you as '2005 Wanker of the Year'

Here's ten pieces of advice that I hope you don't heed.

0001. Never shove a red hot poker up you ass
0002. Keep away from cliff edges
0003. Pray to the one real and almighty GOD everyday
0004. Don't volunteer for military service in Iraq
0005. Don't take up dragster racing
0006. Never ever desert this board, pleeease
0007. Always look before you cross the road
0008. Ever tried parachuting? Don't! (And don't let me pack your chute)
0009. Never use a cheese grater on your penis
0010. Never go cocklepicking on Moorecombe Bay

May hell never freeze over.

Do you guys ever get tired of this shit? I know I'm one to talk, but I'm talking to myself as much as anyone right now. It would take all of us to stop at once, but what if we set a cease-fire date? How about April 2 (so no one will think it's an April Fool's joke) at 12 noon Greenwich Mean Time?

So is that a no?

Of course, your post is completely unfair. I want him to stop too, and I know I need to stop as well. I said all of us. Don't twist my words. if you want to keep things negative, then you will. I was asking if we could all--every one of us--stop picking at each other. Can you do that so lack? Are you willing to try? I am. I hope Mr. Average is. I hope cope fan is. That's up to them. Are you?

I will always respond how I see fit. It it usually with my tongue in cheek and meant to raise a chuckle, sometimes at another poster's expense. People are too thin skinned imo, I have never been offended by any personal comments made toward me here, I do enjoy responding to them though.

Therefore no teach.

Some people are too eager to test the thinness of others' skin, imo. And when they offend, they always blame the one they offend for being too thin-skinned.

Here endeth the lesson.
