Ta, IP. Had stopped reading the often hilarious 'studio blog' on his low-key website where he'd ramble on about his various software problems, and was just today wondering how many months before this surfaced, so great to know it will. there's so much to be buying around at the moment!
http://myspace.com/lloydcolemusic - nothing on here from it, though.
Tracklisting and techy mastering detals ahoy:

His website seems to have no details beyod this! amazon shows cover. Title is Anti-Depressant:

Very excited!

Here's the track of which IP writes. Sounding good:
http://hype.non-standard.net/track/157702
It's a cover of a Moby Grape song, I read:
Strange that Lloyd Cole's new album isn't even out yet: everyone's been talking about him thanks to Camera Obcura's recent namedrops. Here he takes on the Moby Grape classic, and I hear none of Lewis' weariness. Cole is feeling new things as he treads through this life. He's surprised at his feelings (see the way the glimmering MOR synths give way to real life drums) - but he truly is grateful. A song about the end of a relationship can feel like a song about starting something new: pushing through the veil with the knowledge that you can always, always walk forward.

Ha! Confession time. Well as he was one the orad to rehab and rock 'n' roll ruin, a bit of the old cock rock had to get in there somehow. Hope he's better for your Brighton appointment.verbal gymnastics wrote:See Otis - I'm giving them a fair listen! I found the first album samey but this one is rockier (ambiguity ambiguity )
The Avalanche is recommended for Sufjan lovers. For those who think 'enough already', steer clear. It's more of the same of Illinois (seven swans is quite different, much more low key and reverie-like, with some great songs), dunno about Michigan. Little of Avalanche strikes me as really great in the way a good 50% of Illinois is, but maybe the rest is as good as the other 50% of it! And maybe it will all grow as Illinois has massively. three versions of Chicago is overdoing it (acoustic; adult contemporary easy-listening; multiple personality disorder), though all are rather good in their own way. it's all amazing music, though. He really does have his own sound and feel.

The fish bowl disturbs me.
this continues to be my obsession.
Tim Armstrong has a solo record coming out that will be released for free over the internet. Hear one here: http://epitaph.com/artists/album/500
He also says there may be a new T-plants record. Yahoo!
