Tower of Song

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Hah, sorry. I was wondering why he was being avoided. I figured if I could win with you guys, it'd be with some Trust-Elvis.

Tim(e) -- I actually sort of semi-liked "ID4"...sort of -- but I REALLY hate this thing we're marketing people make us shorten the titles of already plenty short films, like "Independence Day" was all that hard to say -- and like it actually made any sense as the title of the freaking film (which, title aside, had nothing whatever to do with July 4th or any other fours).

And, Wehit, if you gotta incorrectly put in an EC song, that's a great one! (I actually screwed up the last one by naming artists more than once!)

Out -- Neil Young
In -- Carlene Carter, in better days.

The Kinks - Waterloo Sunset

SLL, there, now we're even again. [Edit. Sorry, forgot this point and added to two other threads, you owe me two... ]

And we joined on the same date! And I love your taste in music. Separated at birth? Hang on, wrong football team.

AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!

this is why I'm abstaining -
OUT: The Kinks - Waterloo Sunset
IN: The Cars - Let The Good Times Roll

and I don't even dislike Let The Good Times Roll.

WHAR - If you're not familiar with the Kinks - check out an old thread buried in the annex - lot's of great suggestions for albums to pick up - but I'd HIGHLY recommend Something Else By The Kinks (which contains Waterloo Sunset).

...and pophead pophead pophead....sacking "Junction" - say it ain't so.

In retrospect, it's kind of chickenshit to criticize other people's choices and then not participate -

OUT - Jr. Zim
IN - Buddy Holly - Words Of Love

The Cars - Let The Good Times Roll
Paul McCartney - Let Me Roll It
Bruce Springsteen - Point Blank
David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes
The Jam - Down In The Tube Station At Midnight

Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out

We need some chicks in the tower.

The Jam - Down In The Tube Station At Midnight
Buddy Holly - Words Of Love
The Clash - Straight To Hell
Patti Smith - Because the Night
Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out
R.E.M - Losing My religion
Zombies - Care Of Cell 44
