Miss BA's AYISS Sucking On Their Glasses Gallery

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Great pics y'all.

I wear glasses most of the time - the exceptions are for when I go out socially and when I play football when I wear my contact lenses (hmm, quite a lot then...).

I don't know what it's like elsewhere but my lenses cost more than the frames. I bought some Armani and Police glasses and whilst the frames cost circa £150 each, then Nikon lenses cost over £200  Mind you if I used normal lenses I'd be like Mr Magoo.

Someone should post a picture of Elvis without glasses (as in the alternate video of The Only Flame in Town).

Maybe he's broken the other glasses which were the only frame in town. I thank you as I leave the room to raptuous applause

When I found that picture of Grace Kelly, I had to remind myself to breathe.

Indeed. That close-up in "Rear Window", where she wakes Jimmy Stewart from his nap near the beginning of the movie? Lordy.

Don't like working in glasses, so contact lenses only there unless badlly hungover. Eyes get tired in the evening, so glasses then, and I tend to wear them all weekend. The nice thing about lense is taking them out in the evening and giving your eyes a second chance at the day.

-6.25 in one eye and -5.75 in the other, and astigmatic. You? Best thing last year was that the astigmatism finally got bad enbough to warrant correction in the contact lense, and now I can see almost perfectly with them.

I had terrible vision before the LASIK surgery. I don't even wear sunglasses now. But I should. Because the sun in Texas is bright.

Max Roach - legend. I have a two-disc compilation of his recordings with Clifford Brown that I love.

WSS,

I have some Roach/Brown recordings too. Great stuff. He's my favorite drummer.

Do you have the album that Brownie did with Sarah Vaughn? Love that one too.

No, but I think I need it.

The Clifford Brown and Max Roach CD I have is called (appropriately enough) Clifford Brown and Max Roach, and it's on the Verve label. First track is "Delilah." Is that the one you have?

Nice call on Bill Evans.

The one I have is a two-disc Verve set called Alone Together.

I could post a 1970s photo of Bill Evans - what a "before and after" that would be.

Ah, what the hell - here you go. The ravages of cocaine abuse I suppose:

How 'bout my main man Richard Hawley? He ain't so young and he's not especially easy on the eyes, but he is friends with Jarvis Cocker and might well be able to introduce Miss Buenos Aires to her teenage heartthrob:

Me : right eye - 3.5 , left eye - 2.5. No contact lenses, only glasses.

I'd prefer sunglasses if I were her.

Interesting use of smaller top hi-hat, I don't believe I've ever seen that before. I wonder what made him do that. Sadly don't know enough about Roach (although I've always enjoyed his name!), where to start?

Would you recommend LASIK surgery? A friend who had it put me off for life by describing it in close detail, but I could be tempted. The contact lens routine is auto-pilot for me, but I wouldn't mind dropping it. And the sensation of waking in the night and being able to see properly must be fun!
