Laughing Crow - your bedroom is FAR too tidy to be a bloke's room. Are you sure you didn't invite Hello Magazine into your lovely boudoir which you have never actually seen before...? The teddy bear gives it away mate! Now if it was an empty beer can you might get away with it... :wink:

Well, the bear is the first thing i had when I was born, so he's around for sentimental reasons (the furby on the other hand is pure indulgence :lol: )...and I'm guilty as charged when it comes to order - I do run a tight ship, but it is quite a small space.

lapins, dear:

being a design student, i can't stick to one style to save my life. i've got some gothy things, some 60's popish stuff, detritus of a world traveller, and general crap. oh, and fangirl squeeee things, like a frodo figure and stuff signed by Anthony Head.

your room looks lovely! you've obviously taken time and care arrangeing things.

i like hanging boxes - takes things off the floor, puts them in a neat confined area. if necessary, put the crap into another box and set it on a shelf.

a corner of my living room has a stack of boxes w/ a lovely cloth thrown over them. i imagine it makes them look less like a stack of boxes. but, i also enjoy fooling myself.

tolkein is my favorite author. i know others are better, less wordy, more in touch w/ current human existence, but i LOVE rereading tolkein, and everytime i read it i gain something new from it. i don't have the Father Christmas letters, though i've read parts of them. that period of world history is my favorite time - the world wars, the time between them, the aftermath. just amazing for changing western consciousness.

see? i haven't gone away. still here, still chatty. :)

Verbal Gymnastics-I thought Laughing Crow's room was a reflection on his love of science and categorizations that species and other things go under. Ordered and filed style.

Laughing Crow-You are every mother's dream! Really though, very nice and proper. I'm trying to think if I know any nice girls in Scotland to set you up with. I'm too old and far away. :oops: Lucky you! :wink:

Poppet-I have seen those I was going to get them for my sister but don't know the release date. I think they came out a couple of months ago. Maybe Valentine's day for her. I'm not a collector but I love comic book art. Here's Catwomen:

<img src="http://prod.bsis.bellsouth.net/coDataIm ... MG3078.jpg" width="470" height="396">

Notice the sweep of her cape, not the haggard, pouty image at the corner!

My main trouble-clothes and I've cleaned out my closet!!! It's lack of storage and lack of space. I think moving is the only hope.

Lapins,

Speaking on behalf of quilters everywhere, I have to thank you for promoting us on the internet...but .... it might be time for a new one.....

:D

Did someone make it for you? I noticed the matching pillow sham....are you stateside? For some reason I had you on the other side of the Atlantic in my head...

Are those 80's fabrics? (No snobbery here, just wondering, I don't recognize them...)

Yaaay, quilts and Catwoman!!! 8)

LC, this might be nit-picking, but it appears that your EC discs aren't in perfect chronological order from left to right... :?

Misha-If it has a worn appearance it's the lightning not the quilt. My room is dark. The colors are bright and the style is of a French turn of the century sort of thing. Thus the name of the style Chateau quilt.. . .oh nevermind. It's not that 'country cottage' American thing-it's supposed to look aged! I guess a factory or something made it for me. It's European but I'm not. The fabrics inspired by Provence and look perhaps is more akin to the 1880's than the 1980's. I won't force you to buy one.

Now aren't you sorry you asked? Aren't you sorry I'm waiting for a private message? Where's your picture?

I pictured laughingcrow more as a mad scientist with things strewn all over the place! Sorry LC!!! I bet you're still every mother's dream though!

Course I am.....if only I was into MILFs! :D

LTZ...na, they're probably not in exactically chronological order, cos Im always getting them out and stuff. I used to put stuff in alpahabetical/chronological...but it got too much work, I only have limited display space, and there's loads of CDs under the bed and stuff, so it all got a little confoosing.

Hmm, it is a flag and it is reversible, but it also has the Beatles sewn onto the front side.

My mistake then................I guess all the flags of Beatlevania look the same.

Pip52-Brick! I'm jealous. Misha can scoff but for Pip a game with my room, Find Elvis. The first picture is very easy:

<img src="http://prod.bsis.bellsouth.net/coDataIm ... MG3122.jpg" width="470" height="290">

It has such an ugly frame-sigh-but I felt pressured into getting it. So it's in a dark corner.

This is the wall directly opposite my bed above a bookcase:

Thanks for posting Pip. Where have you been?

Ive been in transition, but I have returned!

Great EC pics Lapins. I love the one with the shades and the guitar slung over his shoulder. And the one on the bottom far left is one of my favorites! He looks so dashing . . .

Pip52-He does look dashing indeed. . glad you are back.

A Rope Leash-Krusty is behind the black car on the far right. Sorry to scare you but you wouldn't have invited me there and you wouldn't come here. What else could I do?

I was really interested to put places with people. It's always very telling to see someone's home. Thanks to all who posted! Sorry for frightening you with my place. :oops:
