This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Top 50 Music Videos of 2005

Post by Who Shot Sam? »

Someone with too much time on his hands has compiled them here. My faves are the Gorillaz, Sigur Ròs and the Beck one with the Japanese robots. Haven't seen most of these. Does anyone show music videos anymore?

Dunno about that Aphex Twin video.

I don't think I've seen a single one of these.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Take a quick look at the three I mentioned. It's a shame - there used to be programs like "120 Minutes" that would show stuff like this. Seems to have gone the way of the horse and buggy.

I loved that show! And there was another one on MTV, around midnight (was it called Post-Modern ?), which showed pretty good stuff.

I do remember only one video from last year - Sugababes' "Push The Button".

I saw the Franz Ferdinand video for "Do You Want To" during lunch. It was fun, in a real pop/rock sort of way.

Where the hell *does* a person see videos these days? I have MTV and VH1 and I swear to God there's not a note of music on either of them.

VH1 Classics has a request program in the evening that will spring a few surprises, but it's all '70-'90's stuff. I don't know where in the world one would look for newer videos, other than on the Web.

Due to my unemployment and complete and total lack of friends, I've been watching a lot of videos lately, but not 'new' videos. Mostly I've been watching a lot of VH1 Classic. Remember when musicians were 'actors' as well?

Monkey to Man wasn't on it! That comes from the bygone era when musicians were "actors"!
