I'm at work, and we're watching "Something About Mary" and I think I just heard Lloyd Cole! Was it? Do you know?

Indeed it was. Never seen it and didn't know this, but a quick visit to Google and then Amazon reveals it was Margot's Waltz, for his second solo LP, early 90s, Don't Get Weird On Me Babe. I'll have to see the film! He was still a bit of a star at that point, rather than being a marginal figure. Not my favourite LC LP, in fact I used to loathe most of it, but Jackson taight me to be grown up and listen to it properly, and there are indeed some great things on it. Margot's Waltz is nice, but not one of the best. Might work well in a film though. Well spotted.
