I've always loved Costello's prose. His liner notes are models of fine writing, so I was very pleased to read, in Odile W. Husband's interview with him on the National Ransom site, that he's at work on a book.
I'm possibly the last person here to know about this.
What do we know about the project? Is it to be an autobiography, or possibly a book of show biz anecdotes? A collection of short stories? A novel?
Do we know who Elvis has contracted with?
Thanks!
