Bob Dylan UK Tour
Is anybody here going?
I'm going to Wembley Arena on Sunday 15th April.
I'd hoped he was going to play Brixton again so I could lose my Bob Dylan virginity at a small venue but alas it's just one night at Wembley.

It's cleaner both inside and outside, the views are better, the seats are more comfortable and travelling there and back is better. The old Wembley Arena was just awful.
And it's less of an aircraft hangar than say, Earls Court. But I was hoping to see him in a smaller venue but his Bobness is only playing arenas this time round.

An excellent sounding recording of last nights Oslo show is flying down on dime at the moment. Much appreciated around here since Bob isn't playing Dublin this time around. Has he been talking to Elvis and Van?

Hello everyone as you can see this is my first post on the board and can i say its an honor to be here. I have been a member of a few other boards notably a Dylan one and if i'd known about this place believe me i'd of been here sooner. I'm seeing Dylan at Wembley in a couple of weeks on the sunday although my tickets are that far back i'm practically in the car park but at least im in there.

It was a great show - the reinterpretation of It Ain't Me Babe really threw me.
I thought his voice was good too although he doesn't really sing.
I had a couple of great conversations with fans on the underground on my way home. One of the couples I was talking to had seen him something like 6 times already on this tour and were following him for all of the UK shows.
Who would like somebody enough to do something like that?

The Rolling Stone 40th anniversary edition has a nice interview with Ringo in which he mentions going to see Bob recently. Ringo went backstage during intermission and Bob asked if he could do a song for him. Ringo says, sure - Maggie's Farm, which cracked Bob and the boys up something awful, because they'd already done it. Unintelligibly.
Like a Rolling Stone was chosen by RS as one of the 40 Greatest Songs Ever. According to them, without this song, EC would not be EC.

Like me, the "g" is silent.
