OK, let's end this one... they called themselves The Nerk Twins.

Replacement question: Who was/were the first musician/musicians to appear as themselves on The Simpsons?

Well, going on that clue I'll guess Ringo Starr? Could be George Harrison, but I don't think he was ever on it.

I think PoP has it right with Ringo. My kids religiously watch the box sets and I think it's on one of them.

Woot! So George did appear?

An easy one...

Which Brian Eno song is an anagram of 'TALKING HEADS'?

Easy for you, you Gerrard-loving loon, you. I can't think of anything by Brian Eno done after the Heads came into being, so my only resort is to try some possibilities:

THE KING SALAD

A KNIGHT DEALS (or 'A KNIGHT'S DEAL'!)

HEADING TALKS

SLAKED
A THING

It looks like there should be hundreds more possibilities, but you're always a vowel short or something. Actually, there will be many more, I'm sure. Just none I know. Is there an Eno number on Bush of Ghosts that is this? If so, it wouldn't be just Eno, perhaps.

I knew anything with TH and anagrams wouyld pull our Otis in.

I don't know enough Eno titles-- you're thinking of MY LIFE IN THE BUSH OF GHOSTS, Otis-- to get this so I too will shamelessly guess:

NAKED GAL SHIT?

GNARL HATE KIDS?

LAKE HID ANGST?

GET A SHAD KILN?

KIN LED AGHAST?

SNAG DHAL KITE?

SHALE KNIT GAD?

It's LEAD KING HAT isn't it?

DrJ

Rethink: KINGS LEAD HAT (It was in UNCUT magazine, or Mojo, or one of 'em)

Of course. Thanks DrJ, and congratulations on a correct answer. It was indeed KINGS LEAD HAT, released in 1978, although I wish it was Mug's GET A SHAD KILN. Otis, are you going to answer every question with a question?

Annoying, innit? :D

Actually was just about to change it, but will leave it there for a bit more just to hog space... and thanks, Oh Mr. Boom, for your lobbying efforts. Just knowing I've tickled you and POP makes it all worthwhile.

Okay then. Becker and Fagen in one of their pre-famous-Steely-Dan bands had a drummer who went on to be a well known actor/comedian. Name him.
