After having studied half a life I can't seem to get a job. This is the latest reaction. My band will record this in September, so if anyone wants to suggest any changes or correct grammar and spelling, you've got until then. (I know it's not as good as what lapinjolis, el vez and most of you other earlier posters contributed with, but hopefully it's good enough for the European punk scene.)
ST. CHRISTOPHER
Moon the river
Let the cat have the sand in the hour glass
For the bright, the future's looking bleak
As you make your bed
The Three Fates are weaving a ragrug
And Fortune's dripping on the wheel
(bridge:)
...and you hope Opportunity knocks
But she's got her arms cut off
Hard to hitch-hike with no thumb
Up a four-way street, so
(chorus:)
Open wide your door
Take your foot from the floor
St. Christopher is grounded
Oracle
When Croesus crossed the river
Did you chuckle at your advice
As God would laugh
At all this scriptual desinformation
And the birds I flip to the empty skies
(Repeat chorus twice)
Make your stake
You sure as hell must climb it
The only flush you'll get's in the loo
But play your hand
Though tomorrow's a house of tarot cards
That the wind is whistling through
(Bridge II:)
...and you hope Opportunity knocks
But she's got her arms cut off
Hard to hitchhike with your thumb up your ass?
(Repeat chorus)

King Hoarse! Mooning is kind of passe´ain't it? You have an otherwise good song, but mooning creates images of drunken teenage preppy fraternity boys in my case.....in any case. What about "Howling at the river and mooning the moon"
What's the name of your band? And you're from Malmø, right? Any gigs in København?

I forgot: The song has the same beat as "Lipstick Vogue" but is a whole lot faster, and it's played in G#m. It has a slow instrumental part in the middle, though, which sounds a bit like "Chelsea."
To Cope:
Thing is, I always liked "Moon River" but yeah howling at it seems a pointless thing to do too.
Yes we're from Malmö (and yes whar my zero has dots over it, and so has some a's..äh) but we have no upcoming gigs in Köpenhamn that I know of. We did play at the infamous Loppen two years ago or so.
I do bring a friend of mine and two guitars over a couple of times every summer. Would you be interested in joining us in a version of Big Boys, or any other EC favourite for that matter? (I have most of them written out for guitar and voice)
