Commemorative Brown County arena T-shirt lists 60 acts who played the building
Kendra Meinert Green Bay Press-Gazette
Apr 19, 2019
It’s only fitting that a venue that helped keep local music fans in concert T-shirts for six decades gets a commemorative one of its own.
A portion of proceeds from a new Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena T-shirt will benefit Friends of Brown County Veterans Inc., the organization behind the Brown County Veterans Memorial that stands next to the arena on Armed Forces Drive in Ashwaubenon.
The front of the shirt features an image of the building as it looked when it opened in 1958. On the back, 60 artists who played the arena, from Sonny & Cher in 1965 to the final concert on April 6 by Bret Michaels. The roster of famous names also includes Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Air Supply, The Cars, MC Hammer, Boyz II Men, Tim McGraw and Motley Crue. (and Elvis Costello )
The dark gray shirts are available for order at https://www.valleyadvertise.com/company ... unty-arena in four sizes. They're $30 each.
The deadline to order is midnight June 13. Expected delivery time is the first week of July. No returns, refunds or exchanges.
Earlier this week, Brown County announced it will sell 50 groups of seats from the building, which will be demolished to make way for a new $93 million expo center.

Has this been mentioned before? I spotted this on Facebook about famous faces backstage at the Harry Potter play...
Legendary singer/songerwriter Elvis Costello was in New York City on March 27 to see the show.

Music And Movie Memorabilia Going Under The Hammer At Ewbank's.
Auction taking place on May 30
' Ewbank’s, Surrey’s leading international auction house, is preparing for its Entertainment and Memorabilia sale on May 30, with many fascinating items already consigned for sale including a jacket owned by Elvis Costello, and rare music posters.'
'A custom-made tweed jacket owned and worn by singer-songwriter Elvis Costello is going on sale with an estimate of between £1,000 and £1,500. It was worn by Costello in the 'Clubland' single music video in December 1980, and then on stage for the ’English Mugs’ 1981 tour of the U.S. with The Attractions and Squeeze. He is also seen wearing the jacket on the 1981 ‘English Mugs’ tour poster that is accompanied with this lot.
The jacket has the original tailor’s label stitched to the inside pocket of the jacket that reads ‘Tobias Bros. Ltd 32 Savile Row. W.1, ‘E. Costello Esq A0629 Oct. 80’. It was given to the vendor in 1991 by a friend who was an employee of Demon Records, which was Costello’s manager Jake Riviera's record company.'

Ok , right said Fred.
" We Oughta be Ashamed"
But you have to remember that we're having to find things to do whilst whiling away the days (weeks/months/years) waiting for an announcement of an EC tour of the UK. Hence more of this 'humour' is at least a possibility .

Jason encapsulates what being a Costello fan is in this series of Tweets. A fellow Dubliner , I'm proud to know him. Besides being a megafan he is a doctor in a under resourced hospital , doing incredible work. Rock on Dr J!

There are some people out there with worse senses of puns than the members here - especially with a goalkeeper called Allison ( misspelt you see). No doubt EC will be crying into his beer by June 2nd. As a Gooner its the sort of match I want both teams to lose and been banned from European football for the next 25 years

I have been dying to post Alison on social media as a mickey take/play on the keepers name. But Allison has been almost faultless this season. Maybe next yearsulky lad wrote:https://twitter.com/meninblazers/status ... lang=en-gb
