This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Dr Who IS BACK, and it's about time!

Greatest SciFi series of all time returns finally....think that Steve Nieve would be a cool doctor who!!!

The rumors have been rife for years but now the BBC has finally announced that Dr. Who, its venerable and internationally popular scifi series, will be returning to the small screen.

The first script for the new show will be penned by Russell Davis (Queer As Folk, The Second Coming), but there is no word yet on who will play the latest incarnation of the good Doctor. Time Lords can regenerate multiple times, and over the years the part has been assayed by Jon Pertwee, Patrick Troughton, Sylvester McCoy and Tom Baker (the most famous Doctor). Paul McGann also played the Doctor in a 1996 busted pilot for a projected US series that lacked the intelligence and humor of the original and landed on screens with a dull thud.

Don't get too excited, though -- the BBC isn't planning on debuting the show until 2005.
